Support and Service TuneUp Utilities 2006

What do I do when I have questions about TuneUp Utilities?

TuneUp Utilities 2006 has been designed to be as user friendly as possible and informs you of possible problems in advance in many places, or prevents these mistakes entirely.

This page can help you if you should run into problems with the program that you cannot solve in spite of this.

Solutions to potential problems

Problem: I changed something in my system with TuneUp Utilities, but want to undo this change.
Solution: Start TuneUp RescueCenter.
Click on the backup for the module that you used to make the change. If you don't know which module you used to make the change, select a backup from the latest date on which everything worked as desired.
Click Restore.
If you have selected the backup by the date (see step 2), select Restore all backups since the date of the backup.
Click OK to undo the changes.

Problem: A TuneUp Utilities module crashes repeatedly or does not work correctly.
Solution: First check that you have the latest version of TuneUp Utilities with TuneUp UpdateWizard. If you do not, update to the latest version and see if the problem persists.
If this does not correct the problem, please note the exact error message and contact our technical support.

Problem: I am looking for a specific setting in TuneUp Utilities but cannot find it (again).
Solution: Click the Search tab on the left side of this help window.
Enter one or more words that describe the setting your are looking for, for example welcome screen if you want to customize the Windows XP Welcome screen.
Click Show Topics or press Enter to display a list with all help items containing the words you entered in the search box.
Double click the desired entry in the list to call up the corresponding help page.
The blue bar at the top of the help page shows where you can find the setting in TuneUp Utilities. In the case of our example welcome screen, the location is "TuneUp SystemControl", "Administration > User Logon > General".
